Dear Mark, Dan, Anna, Kristine and the whole Enterprise Fitness Crew,
I sit here asking myself what do I say, where do I begin?
While the name “Enterprise Fitness” captures the focus and aim of your business, I feel for me personally it was an ‘Enterprise Experience.”
I began my journey at Enterprise knowing that this is what I wanted to do but skeptical as to whether I would truly get my moneys worth as it had meant emptying my savings account to do so. While I had an absolute love for training, a lot of thinking and reflection while being sick and experiencing a range of anxiety allowed me to narrow down that “health” was at the absolute centre and focus of my life. My health determined and influenced the quality of my relationships with friends/work/family and enjoyment of life itself.
It was my pursuit for health that led me to seek help from Enterprise Fitness to obtain this. Ever since completing my year 10 work experience in 2010 when I first met Mark Ottobre, I have paid close attention to the development of his business, outlook and philosophy which I arguably agreed with.
I knew that if I was to be serious about my intentions, I needed to go to someone who was worth my time and money and that could deliver and guide me in the right direction. Looking back I can 100% say my investment paid off.
The holistic nature of Enterprise is the defining reason why i believe it “works” and why they have the success they do. From the approach, the atmosphere, the trainers, the knowledge and the support from the moment you enter to the moment you leave. Even the emails which are sent makes you feel as though they carry your goals and ambitions with you.
In regards to my trainer Dan, he might be young and even a little intimidating at first but I cannot speak highly enough of him. Dan’s approach as a trainer was second to none. His attention to detail regarding technique and ability to motivate and get the most out of me was world class. He quickly gained my full respect and later on I was proud to call him a mate. He is a major reason that the person who walked in the doors 12 weeks ago was not the same person who walked out. Not only did my body composition change, my outlook on life and confidence changed and the knowledge I gained is priceless.
I liked to think I trained hard before attending Enterprise but after my first session, due to me vomiting in the bathroom, it was confirmed that I was going to get what i paid for… Someone to push me and help me grow as a person. I never would have thought at the beginning of my 12 weeks that in my final session I would complete 30 sets of 100kg squats and 30 sets of 120kg deadlifts in an energy systems workout. I honestly see a lot potential in Dan and I’m glad I had the chance to be trained by him and see him grow as a coach while I also grew as a person.
Anna provides a positive energy whether it is in person or communication via email. She is always the first to greet you and wish you the best for the remainder of your day. It’s the little things like walking in and being greeted at the beginning of your session that puts you in a good mood going forward.
I would like to thank Kristine for all the help with supplements and interpretation of blood results along the way. My energy levels have significantly improved, which is something that gave me trouble for years beforehand. As with Anna, you never failed to greet me or ask if there was anything you could do and it was hugely appreciated!
Was it worthwhile in the end?
Yes, absolutely! I no longer look at the cost and have doubts. I worry more about where am I going to get the money to continue. I honestly feel like a different person and my body composition is not the main reason I am thankful. I have learnt a lot about myself and I feel that in itself is priceless.
One thing I have discovered is when you are surrounded by success and like minded people, your outlook on life changes. I have adopted a mantra from having a causal conversation with Mark when he said, “I make decisions from where I want to be not from where I am.” My experience has had me pondering a lot about the future and where I want to end up.
I am studying osteopathy and one day would like to run my own business. My experience at Enterprise has further ignited my passion to stand out and treat people holistically as that’s what’s most likely going to bring about longterm change.
Mark, I feel like you are the person with the knowledge, wisdom and connections to be able to help guide me towards where I want to be. I would be honoured if you could be a mentor and I could have a few consultations throughout the year to help direct me to complete the steps in order to end up where I want to be.
Attached are photos from week 4 and week 12 of my journey.
I cannot thank you enough Mark and the whole Enterprise team. I look forward to continuing my journey toward my potential.
