I began my journey with Enterprise in September 2017, with the goal of having a clearer vision on my training and nutrition.
Within the first 2 weeks I dropped 6% body fat (measured by skin folds), and this really gave me an idea of how much I could achieve.
And so I set my eyes on competing. I had a clear vision of what I wanted to look like when I got on stage, and with my competitive streak, the game was on.
Along with my coach, Reece, we set a date for March 2018 at the ICN Rising Star and Rookie of the Year.
Looking back, my journey leading up to the comp didn’t even feel like a comp prep. My calories never dropped below 2000, and I was enjoying an occasional cheeky refeed here and there
Reece’s every move is calculated. Whenever he introduces a new training or nutrition protocol, he explains the reasoning behind each change, and what was to be expected as a result of that change.
And each time, the results I got were well beyond my expectations.
Throughout the past 24 weeks, I’ve learnt so much about training and feeling my own body.
I learned that it’s not about how much weight you lift but how you lift it that counts. There’s no point in lifting heavy weights with the incorrect form as it will not get you the results your after.
I also learned that you’ve never trained hard enough until you get pushed out of you comfort zone.
The final weeks of prep was getting tough, but I had my goal in sight, and I knew I didn’t come this far now to just stop. I only look back to see how far I’ve come.
I often get asked why do I keep going back and when will I stop this ‘diet’.
To be honest, I’ve never really thought about it in that way.
Because I don’t see it as a diet. This is a lifestyle for me. I don’t eat for pleasure I eat for purpose. To be the best I can be in all aspects of life.
Training at Enterprise Fitness brings out the best in me. It makes me want to strive for excellence and unlock my full potential. I want to be a better version of what I was yesterday, and this will always keep me aiming high.
Bring on the rest of 2018!
