3 Top Tips to Competing
WBFF Bikini Pro and Enterprise Fitness Competition Prep Coach, Anna McManamey, has competed in over 30 competitions to date and coached numerous pros and champions!
… She certainly knows a thing or two about getting on stage. So, we asked Anna to give her top 3 tips to a successful prep.
1. Give yourself enough time
Unless you’re already sub 10% body fat and are nailing your training and nutrition, forget about prepping in under 12 weeks. Even the top athletes take 20-40 weeks to appropriately plan and phase their preps. They also need plenty of time to perfect their posing and bring their best package to stage.
2. Find yourself a well versed prep coach
Prep is not just training and dieting hard, it takes a very smart approach to preparing your body for stage in a sensible and healthy manner. Not one person is the same – what works for one competitor might completely ruin another’s physique. Find yourself a coach with years of experience and expertise in physique transformations, so you are in trusted hands. If you need a hand, contact us here.
3. Pose Pose Pose!
Treat your posing practice as much of a necessity as your diet and training! As soon as you have a competition date in the diary, practice those poses. Even if you bring a winning physique to stage, if it’s not presented well, you could easily ruin your chances of a top placing. If you’ve been prepping for months for that one special day, you don’t want to sabotage it with poor posing.
The Enterprise Fitness team have coached hundreds of people to stage, with over 260 top placings! If you’re looking to compete, prep with the best! Find out more here and hit the stage with the support of Enterprise Fitness.
