Lower Body Workout with Kristina
In this video, Kristina is taken through a tough but fun lower body workout by Mark Ottobre, the head coach and founder of Enterprise Fitness. Here is a summary of the workout:
- A1: Sumo deadlifts
- B1: Kettlebell swings
- B2: Dead balls
- C1: Step-ups
- C2: Hamstring curls
First, they start with Sumo deadlifts. Being new to the exercise, Kristina picks up the movement well but with a few technical mistakes. To correct her movement pattern, Mark utilises paused reps, helping her to hit 65kg for sets of 5 reps.
Then they move on to double kettlebell swings to target her posterior chain, starting off with two 10kg kettlebells before moving on to 12kg ones. These are paired with dead balls, a “strong man and woman” exercise that uses the whole body, where Kristina makes the 45kg ball.
Lastly, they finish off the workout with step-ups and leg curls as supplementary exercises to further target her quads and hamstrings.
