Training with Mark Ottobre, Gemma Black transformed her body with Enterprise Fitness! Competing in her first fitness modelling competition, Gemma placed 2nd in the 30 plus sports model division at the INBA Victorian Championships.
With a son and full time job, Gemma finds the time to train at 5am each morning. Although a hardworking client, initially Gemma struggled with effective fat loss. In the weeks prior and leading up to her comp, Mark was able to rectify this with a specialized female-specific detoxification & supplementation protocol. Keep reading to hear firsthand from Gemma about her experience training at Enterprise Fitness.
Why did you start training at Enterprise Fitness?
I originally knew Mark Ottobre from going to high school with his brother David. When I was living in Sydney I followed Mark on Facebook and continually read his posts and followed his blogs about fitness and nutrition. I have always been into fitness being a dancer from a young age, but never did I have this kind of knowledge to better my performance… I was eager to learn and was addicted to reading Mark’s articles and listening to his podcasts. I knew he trained females specializing in competitions and not only that, winners 😉
After having a child I struggled to lose weight and get back to my figure. I’ve always worked hard with fitness, whatever I was into.. but I just couldn’t get to the point I wanted to. I decided the minute I moved back to Melbourne I would contact Mark and that’s exactly what I did.
What have you achieved since training with Enterprise?
Besides achieving the most amazing figure I’ve held to date, I’d have to say I’m rich with knowledge on how to have a healthy body and mind. I’m continually learning, every session I learn something new with Mark. I’m like a vacuum in our sessions because he generally has something new for me each week. He loves to get educated and that’s what stands out to me, he is constantly learning more and putting it into practice.
Outside of the gym, what else has changed since you started training at Enterprise?
Besides being able to carry a lot more groceries, I would have to say the people’s views around me on fitness and diet.
At first work colleagues and family/friends struggle with your diet and you get a lot of back handed comments regarding food, ‘oh how many times do you want to eat in a day’ etc. Then after a while, they notice you changing and warm to the idea. I try not to preach too much because it can really get under peoples skin. I just get excited when I learn things and want to share though, so it’s hard 😉 Eventually people around me have begun eating healthier and asking more positive questions to help themselves too which is really cool.
