The Latest on Building New Enterprise: May 24
On March 18, 2013, we first opened our doors at Enterprise Fitness.
Moving from a solo trainer on the gym floor to gradually building a team at a local gym, opening the doors at Enterprise Fitness for the first time felt surreal.
We had only a few pieces of equipment, no systems, structures, or management. We were fueled only by a vision and an unrelenting passion for personal training.
In fact, back in 2013, I was handling all the sales, marketing, and admin while still conducting 25 sessions a week.
It was a wild time—so wild that we never had an open day or time to celebrate.
As I leveled up my skill set, grew the team, and implemented systems and structure, we quickly outgrew our location.
Not many people know this, but I was desperately looking for a better location for Enterprise Fitness for seven years.
After going to hundreds of auctions, dealing with shady buyers’ agents and developers buying everything in the Richmond area, I had almost given up.
But then this virus came; pretty sure you might have heard of it.
It actually gave me a snowball’s chance on a barbeque, completely leveling the real estate market in Melbourne (and my silver lining).
In our last installment of Building New Enterprise, we left on a sad note. The building had just been demolished, and I was standing directly on dirt, unsure if the build would ever happen.
