Like most girls, I’ve been through so many phases in my fitness journey, and at 49 I felt that signing up to Enterprise was really like the last straw.
I’ve spent years cycling, running, swimming… working really hard on activities I didn’t ultimately enjoy but felt were the only way for me to reach my goals, to get ‘fit’.
But my goals were always out of my reach, and I just experienced a constant yo-yo effect. I had the commitment but something was holding me back from achieving lasting results.
Signing up with Enterprise, everything just clicked. It all made sense – emotionally, physically, scientifically… It wasn’t just about commitment, but the need for professional guidance and knowledge.
As a healthcare practitioner myself, I’ve seen all the gimmicks, fads and misinformation in the fitness industry. And with my background I thought I was doing the right thing by eating right, but as it turns out, I wasn’t eating enough, and in the wrong proportions (i.e. right ratio of quality protein, carbs and fats)!
So, despite my knowledge in health and wellbeing I realised the importance of surrendering to the experts.
This is where Enterprise is different.
Without the gimmicks and fads, they showed me how to eat for MY body composition, how much to eat and when to eat. Training is a part of it (I train 2 hours a week, that’s it!) but certainly not the main focus.
Now I can see how much (unsustainable) overtraining and undereating is happening with most of us! I also enjoy (and truly look forward to!) training – thanks to my trainer, Lewis, who is a perfectionist, but also upbeat and funny so training is really therapeutic for my body as well as my mind, a formula for success.
I can talk about how knowledgeable Lewis is in programming, technique, physiology… but I believe these to be basic requirements for every personal trainer. What makes Lewis a stand-out trainer is his attitude. As a perfectionist myself, I need someone who would hold me to a high standard, but also make the process fun and enjoyable.
That’s why I totally trust Lewis to guide me towards my fitness goals. It doesn’t matter when I achieve them – it could be sooner or later than originally planned (but it is happening sooner, you’ll be amazed at how fast actually!) – but the main thing is I achieve them sustainably and enjoy the process along the way.
Indeed, Enterprise has helped me find something that I can maintain (and enjoy!) as a long-term lifestyle. Enterprise ticks ALL my boxes. Safe to say, I’ll be staying with Enterprise for as long as they’re around!
