From Lethargic to Energetic
Being a full-time lawyer and single mum of four running on 10 coffees a day with no time for herself, Tina knew she had to change. Whilst many saw the 2020 lockdown as a threat to their lives, Tina took the chance to improve her health and fitness. That’s when she started training online with Enterprise Fitness. Having never touched weights before, we started her off with light weights. She even set herself the goal of competing in the Angels division on 16th May, 2021.
Here is Tina’s overall result:
- Start bodyweight: 75 kg
- End bodyweight: 56 kg
With challenging but fun online programs and Enterprise’s live workouts, Tina lost more than 8 kgs during remote training, but it didn’t stop there. Coming out of lockdown feeling less lethargic and more motivated than before, competing – what felt like a distant dream – finally seemed more possible than ever.
Training
The first 16 weeks was were purely home programs, where Tina trained remotely in lockdown by herself with the minimal equipment she had at home. Upon returning back to the gym, we structured Tina’s training to focus mainly on her upper body, while also completing leg presses, hip thrusts and lying leg curls for her lower body.
Nutrition
Tina had 4 meals a day with a source of protein and vegetables at every meal. We manipulated her carbs and fats as she neared the comp, then went into 6 weeks of dieting where we decreased her calories, followed by 1 week of deload where we brought her back to maintenance calories.
After 27 weeks, Tina lost a whopping 19 kgs of bodyweight. Not only that, she also achieved the goal she set out for herself in competing, and she did it all while having a full-time job with four kids. She is now feeling stronger, leaner with much more energy – without the coffee! It wasn’t just a body transformation, but a lifestyle transformation as well.
